We also collect usage data such as login times, device information, and interaction patterns to improve our services.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to: create and maintain your profile, facilitate matchmaking with compatible partners, verify your identity through our multi-tier verification system, enable guardian (Wali) involvement in the marriage process, communicate with you about your account and matches, improve platform features and user experience, and ensure compliance with our community guidelines.
3. Administrative Access to Personal Data
Zeegah platform administrators and authorized moderators may access all personal data submitted to the platform, including profile information, messages, documents, and photos. This access is necessary for: (a) Quality assurance — ensuring profiles are genuine, complete, and appropriate; (b) Islamic compliance — verifying that platform interactions and content adhere to Islamic principles and Sharia guidelines; (c) Safety and fraud prevention — investigating reports, detecting suspicious activity, and protecting users from harm; (d) Guardian verification — confirming guardian relationships and consent; (e) Document verification — reviewing submitted identity documents for authenticity; (f) Dispute resolution — mediating conflicts between users when necessary. Administrators are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and may only use accessed data for the stated purposes. Any misuse of personal data by administrators is a serious violation subject to disciplinary action.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your profile information is visible to other registered users based on your visibility settings. We may share limited data with verified institutions (mosques, Islamic centers) for the purpose of identity endorsement, only with your consent. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage, secure server infrastructure, access controls, and regular security audits. Profile photos for female users are hidden by default until guardian consent is granted, providing an additional layer of privacy protection.
6. Photo Privacy
Female users' profile photos are not displayed in search results or profile listings until their guardian (Wali) has granted explicit consent through the platform. Photo requests between users are only available after mutual interest has been established. Users may remove their photos at any time.
7. Message Privacy
Conversations between users are stored on our servers and may be reviewed by administrators for quality assurance and Islamic compliance purposes. Messages are not shared with third parties. Users should be aware that guardians with approved access may view conversations related to their ward's marriage discussions.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Some data may be retained in anonymized form for statistical purposes. Verification documents are securely stored and deleted upon account closure.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to: access your personal data at any time through your profile settings, correct or update inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and associated data, control your profile visibility settings, withdraw consent for photo display, and lodge a complaint about data handling.
10. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Analytics data is collected in anonymized form to improve platform performance.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
